Job Description

The responsibilities of this position include:

Responsible for supporting the Oracle databases and ensuring their performance, availability and security.
Work with the team to ensure that the associated hardware resources allocated to the databases to meet optimum performance.
Responsible for ensuring availability and high performance of the databases that support the system.
Responsible for providing trend analysis to the service management team to enable them to make informed decisions regarding resource management.
Responsible for problem escalation to Oracle Development team and third parties as appropriate.
Responsible for improvement and maintenance of the databases to include rollout and upgrades.
Responsible for implementation and release of database changes as submitted by the development team
Responsible to Maintain the DB on different Operating Systems ( Windows, Unix, Lunix )

Required Skills & Characteristics:	Oracle DBA for application development projects support. Working knowledge of UNIX/WINDOWS , and LUNIX OS. Solid experience with RDBMS, Oracle, and standard utilities and tools. Solid experience configuring and building data base and data modeling. Database Administration, Oracle RAC, SQL Tuning Provide Oracle DBA support for variety of projects in a Oracle RAC/IBM AIX environment Experience of managing multiple RDBMS on large systems Experience in working with different Storage Configurations ( RAID , SAN ,…) Experience in working with clustering and Replication. Experience DB recovery, Backup configuration on devices and other media. Experience of working in a team that delivers a high availability service. Practical experience in monitoring and tuning a database to provide a high availability service Proven Oracle Database Administration experience. Advanced training in DBA Certification in at least one technology, programming language, Database, and or operating systems. Advanced English Training Advanced OS Training
