Dear customers, partners and
friends,
It has become a
custom for the ESKADENIA management to address its customers and
friends, in the beginning of every year, to reflect on what has been
achieved in the previous year and to inform of the new year’s
objectives.
2009 has been a
difficult year for most enterprises due to the economical crisis
that has resulted in reduced business and hence certain
restructuring of enterprises, higher level of unemployment,
deflation, and careful consideration for all new investments.
ESKADENIA has
focused since the beginning of 2009 on; improvements of products
across all segments, an increased level of product innovations,
improved support service level for existing customers, and improved
level of customer satisfaction.
The year
witnessed excellent performance in the sales and deployment of our
e-insurance and enterprise products. We have successfully launched
software packages for leading Insurance companies in Tanzania and
Nigeria; entered for the first time the Egyptian insurance market;
secured an insurance contract in Qatar, and launched the first
online e-insurance services in Jordan.
We also catered
for the needs of a new market segment, transportation, as we have
deployed a new ERP system at the most leading tourism transportation
company and a newly launched prestige taxi service in Jordan as well
as a major oil distribution company in Libya.
Moreover, the
latest release of the Convergent Billing and CRM system has been
successfully deployed at a leading Armenian telecom operator and at
one of the leading WIMAX and VoIP operators in Jordan. The new
release of the system has a range of new features to lift the system
to a truly international standard. The telecom staff have
as well invested very heavily in new systems such as Mobile Wallet,
Mobile Advertisement and other value added services and laid the
ground for the launch of these services at partner companies in
2010.
The Internet and
Education department has during 2009 focused in a very serious way
to ensure that the Content Management System (ESKADENIA
CMS®) - a tool that creates powerful portals,
websites and Intranet sites - is one of the most advanced products
in our targeted markets; the new release has been tried successfully
in a number of projects and we expect that the new CMS will be the
core of the Internet projects in 2010. The education team has
focused on a completely new system release that covers the
requirements of both schools and universities and hence a new and
important customer segment has become open for our sales people to
target.
On the level of
innovation, ESKADENIA became a golden Microsoft partner and used the
Microsoft’s technology to develop an advanced Asset Management
Analysis system that was launched at the leading investment
company in Jordan AWRAQ. We revamped a new version of the CRM system
that has been released with top notch features catering for the
needs of most of the targeted markets. We also automated the
operations of Jordan’s KADDB Industrial Park with a new manifest
system for investors import and export management within the free
zone area.
2009 also
witnessed expansion in the ESKADENIA offices as we opened new
offices under the patronage of HRH Princess Sumaya at the University
of Technology that hosts some of our development teams as well as
bright interns from the campus. This step has been an extension to
our continuous efforts to partner with the academia towards
leveraging the competencies of graduating students and keeping a
close link with the universities. Such efforts were topped up with
ESKADENIA being an early participant with the Ministry of ICT’s
Graduates Internship Program (GIB) that was launched in
co-ordination with the Ministry of ICT and Information Technology
Association of Jordan INT@J.
On the quality
level, we have signed up for a year project to acquire CMMI level 3
certification by the end of 2010, not only to improve the image of
ESKADENIA Software as a serious IT supplier, but as well to
streamline and improve all internal processes and overall
efficiencies.
The management of
ESKADENIA is well aware of the hard and smart work being given
by our employees to move the company forward; this of course is
very much appreciated and we are grateful to the loyalty of our
dedicated staff. We are sure that we have become closer to achieve
our target of becoming a world class software enterprise as our
customers started to see the improvements of products, services,
attention, processes, and staff competence within ESKADENIA
Software.
Our objective to
become the most trusted software supplier in Jordan and the region
does not come easy and will take time and perseverance to achieve,
but we have done the most difficult task and that is to have a
functional and effective organisation that has advanced and stable
products and many loyal and smart people to push it forward.
We thank all our
clients, partners, friends and employees for their continuous
support and wish you all a happy and prosperous new year
2010.
Best regards
